Our boat compound has been developed significantly over the past couple of years so much so we have a waiting list of members wishing to store their craft. It also houses our launch and ramp clearing vehicles, (the launch vehicles are commonly known as DUMPERS around the club).
Other vital equipment is stored here which is sometimes used to recover Trailers and Dumpers that get stuck in the sand. The condition of the sand can be unpredictable, it is wise to walk the sands before venturing beyond the first sand bar.
The compound is full protected by movement detectors and flood lights, when activated at night a video camera will start recording and the resulting images are stored on the main drive in the clubhouse. The perimeter fencing is 9 feet high and toped with barbed wire, the main gate is always locked and only accessible to VBC members, because this facility is very popular we are seeking to further expand this service to our members.
