 The Varne has a strong fishing section with many competitions being organised throughout the year. One of our members, Tony Hills, is the local tackle shop dealer and has information on all aspects of fishing in the area.
So whether you are a solitary angler or wish to join us for a days competition you are very welcome to come along and join the club. As a member you will receive a special newsletter that will give you more specific news and inform you of opportunities that will enhance your fishing and boat handling skills. If you are a member and catch something of note please send in your pictures to the webmaster with relevant information.

URGENT NEWS
 Cod fishing is in full swing, if anyone wants help on where and how please contact Zalan or John Ruffhead. Eight members have booked to go to Norway next September, other ideas for "VBC on tour" type holidays are being sought!
We will also be running a few "Fishermens Evenings" in the new year for a bit of a get together and maybe the odd talk from guest speakers.

fish brought 7 back lost 6 or more!  Great day but a bit 'lumpy' towards the end (north
easterly)
